This apartment with a view (it has two balconies) is located in calle Manuela Malasaña. The refurbishment has respected all the original elements of the house, as the high ceilings, the restored wood windows and the hydraulic floor tiles. The structure of the flat is long and it has multiple windows over two different inner courtyards. The entrance to the flat is in the centre of it; on the right hand there is a long bright corridor that leads to the kitchen and the living room and, on the left hand, there is another corridor that leads to the two bedrooms and a small bathroom.
The main bedroom has a built-in bathroom with a hydromassage bathtub. The furnishing is modern and retro, appropriate to the original elements. The living room windows have been restored and they are made of a security glass that keeps the noise out. Plus, the bedrooms look out onto the inner courtyards, which makes them noiseless. The indirect lighting design, combined with the diverse woods of the flat, makes it a cosy and warm place.
The flat is perfectly located in the heart of Madrid, where the areas of Malasaña and Argüelles converge, and really near from Chueca and Chamberí. Restaurants, cafés, tapas bars, trendy shops and second hand shops surround it, and there are also many little plazas to eat outside. Behind the flat is calle Sagasta, where the plazas of Bilbao and Ruiz Jiménez are located; on the right hand of the flat we find Fuencarral, a very lively and full of shops street; and on the right hand, we find calle San Bernardo, which leads to Gran Vía. Very close to the apartment are also the legendary plaza of Dos de mayo, where every Saturday an antique street market takes place, and the Teatro Maravillas.

Location
I stayed here for 6 weeks during May-July 2014. The apartment is located right on Malasaña area, the best area in Madrid. The apt is walking distance to great restaurants, cafés, shopping, and Gran Via. Both San Bernardo and Bilbao Metro stations are 5 mts walk from the apt which makes it very convenient. The apt is newly renovated with nice appliances and is very very spacious with two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms. It is on the first first floor and has a beautiful balcony facing Malasaña street. There are awesome little boutiques and stores along the street where you can buy really nice souvenirs. I have stayed in Arguelles and Plaza de España before and this is by far the best place in terms of actual space and LOCATION. It cant be beat. Luisa is great and she will make sure you have a great stay.
