Great charming apartment with the origial wood beams and columns! Roomy with a functioal kitchen. Location is great with two grocery stores and a convenience store within 1 minute of walk. Metro station is one block away and Plaza de Espana 2 blocks away. Palacio Real and Gran Via are both within 15 minute walk. It was on a residential street that you can experience the local Madrid but attractions are not far from it. The refrigerator was stocked with a jug of cold water and juice boxes when we arrived in a hot Madrid afternoon. Luisa was away from the city, nonetheless, she sent me an email during the stay to ensure everything was ok. It was a great experience! Julio 2013.
I had a great experience during 6 months, the apartment has a strategic position near the metro station, you can head to sol in 3 stations or you can enjoy a great walk through plaza espana and gran via (20/25min). During night Time you can enjog the calm of Martin de los heros. Concercing food shopping, there are 2 supermarkets in front of the building (DIA and Super Sol). Full equiped, you will just need to open your luggage and enjoy your new flat! The plus are: free wifi and a housekeeper Who comes twice a month.
This apartment is located in one of the best places in the downtown area. It is walking distance to every main location and is only a few blocks from most of the major metro stops. The place is clean, quiet, yet on a block that is always vibrant with life. On the block, there are 3 grocery stores, a cheese market, fresh produce and fresh butchered meats and many fun restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone that can make it up the stairs without elevator assistance. Thank you CharmingRents!
This apartment turned out to be much more than expected! So much more, that we extended our stay. Its appointments and location could not be matched by any hotel. Upon entry we were met by Luisa, who was as Charming as her apartments. She is hands-on and knows very well each rental unit and the neighborhoods surrounding them (from shops to recreation). Much to my benefit, Luisa is fluent not only in Spanish, but English and French as well. We were welcomed into an airy, open space, bathed in sunlight. All of the comforts packed into this studio apartment including a functional kitchen, bathroom with full-sized tub(!), washing machine, tv/dvd, and convertible sofa/bed were only improved by the nice touches promised by the website: juices, wafers, marmalade, etc., kitchen utensils, linens and lovely candles and soaps. Everything needed to settle in was already in place. This particular apartment is close to shopping, Gran Via in one direction and Calle Princesa in the other; cinemas, including 3 V.O. cinemas just 2 minutes away; recreation, Moncloa and Pintor Rosales within minutes; a metro station; and nightlife in any direction, depending on your mood. I lived in this apartment for 9 months (2010/2011) when I was working at a Spanish primary school in Madrid. I loved it–I have so many great memories of the apartment and the neighborhood. It was quiet, clean, cute and convenient. I felt like every request I had was handled immediately. When I come back to Spain I always stay in one of Charming Rent’s apartments.
El estudio es super cómodo, bien distribuido pues a pesar de los 25 mts tiene espacio para lo que uno realmente necesita. De día está super iluminado, pero si se quiere dormir hasta tarde se baja la « cortina » metálica y ni un rayo de luz!, y con el aire acondicionado no se pasa calor! La calle es movida, pero sin bullicios que molesten. La ubicación es excepcional, estaciones de metro a sólo 5 minutos caminando y Moncloa a 12 minutos, por lo que se puede llegar a cualquier parte de Madrid muy fácil! Siendo extranjera se me hizo muy sencillo ubicarme. A solo pasos se tiene un SuperSol para comprar alimentos, y si se quiere más variedad, caminas unos 8 minutos más y llegas al Corte Inglés de Princesa. Hay cine a 1 minuto, parque, bares. Lo único no tan cómodo son los cuatro pisos que hay que subir sin elevador, pero realmente es un piso excelente y super agradable! El estudio es precioso, a tan solo 2 minutos del metro Ventura Rodríguez y 5 minutos del metro Plaza de España. Aunque es pequeño, está perfectamente distribuido y cuenta con todas las comodidades. Está situado en el centro de Madrid, cerca y accesible de todo. El barrio es precioso y bohemio, cuenta con cines, bares y restaurantes. Ha sido una experiencia única, y espero poder repetirla en un futuro. Es importante recalacar la profesionalidad y amabilidad de Luisa y su equipo…abrieron sus corazones para hacer mi estadía en el piso una para recordar. Quizá el único punto en contra son los 4 pisos que hay que subir andando, pero bueno, una vez te acostumbras te sientes aún mejor cuando llegas a casa.. 🙂

I lived in this wonderful studio from October 2015 – August 2016. This apartment is everything I wanted and more when I moved to Madrid for one year.
The apartment is excellently located, only 2 min from the Metro & Temple de Debod, & 2 blocks from Plaza de España. There are also two grocery stores only steps away as well a lovely cafe directly across from the apartment building’s entrance door (a great friendly place to grab a delicious chocolate croissant in the mornings!) The studio is located in a beautiful, friendly neighborhood, where it’s just away from the loud, craziness of the center, but still centrally located where you can take the metro in minutes or Evan walk to anything and everything the city has to offer. I frequently walked to Gran Via, Sol, & even Retiro. Yes it is a bit of a walk to Retiro but I loved the ability to walk everywhere and stare at all the beautiful buildings and different neighborhoods of Madrid.
Louisa is absolutely lovely as a property manager. Issues rarely arrised but if they did, all it took was a quick text to her and she would have some out to fix it as soon as possible. She is extremely thoughtful and I really enjoyed getting to know her during the year I lived there. I know that if I ever come back to Madrid and need a place to stay for awhile, I will be contacting her to stay in one of her beautiful properties.
This lovely little studio really became my home during the time I lived there, and I was sad to move out. It is small but is definitely spacious enough for an individual or maybe a couple. Included in the rent is having a cleaning lady come bi-monthly (every two weeks) was a welcome addition. Florínela, the cleaning lady is extremely friendly and welcoming as well and always left my room spotless and beautiful! I loved the exterior window/door that allowed the beautiful afternoon sun & fresh air to fill the apartment.
I seriously could not have asked for a better place to live in during my year in Madrid or a better property manager to work with.

He tenido la oportunidad de viajar bastante y en cada parada me he quedado en diferentes sitios y nunca había encontrado uno tan confortable, bonito y bien ubicado como este piso en Madrid. Lo recomiendo ampliamente por 3 motivos principales:
Primero, la atención, cordialidad y profesionalidad de los responsables en rentarme el apartamento. Siempre me apoyaron y me ayudaron en todo momento durante mi estancia en este piso, hubo muy buena comunicación y amabilidad por parte de la empresa CharmingRents, pero sobre todo su competitividad y formalidad de principio a fin.
Segundo, la ubicación es una de las mejores, ya qué se encuentra a unos pasos de Plaza de España y el templo de Debod y a pocos minutos de Sol, Opera, Gran Vía, Callao, etc., además, de su buena conexión con estaciones de metro como Ventura Rodriguez, Plaza de España y Arguelles.
Tercero, diseño adecuado y confortable, la distribución de este ha sido bien pensado, esta montado con todo lo necesario para un turista, un estudiante y/o profesionista, además de ser un espacio muy agradable.
Definitivamente un piso que vale mucho la pena si piensas visitar o quedarte unos días y/o meses en Madrid.
