I lived in this wonderful studio from October 2015 – August 2016. This apartment is everything I wanted and more when I moved to Madrid for one year.

The apartment is excellently located, only 2 min from the Metro & Temple de Debod, & 2 blocks from Plaza de España. There are also two grocery stores only steps away as well a lovely cafe directly across from the apartment building’s entrance door (a great friendly place to grab a delicious chocolate croissant in the mornings!) The studio is located in a beautiful, friendly neighborhood, where it’s just away from the loud, craziness of the center, but still centrally located where you can take the metro in minutes or Evan walk to anything and everything the city has to offer. I frequently walked to Gran Via, Sol, & even Retiro. Yes it is a bit of a walk to Retiro but I loved the ability to walk everywhere and stare at all the beautiful buildings and different neighborhoods of Madrid.

Louisa is absolutely lovely as a property manager. Issues rarely arrised but if they did, all it took was a quick text to her and she would have some out to fix it as soon as possible. She is extremely thoughtful and I really enjoyed getting to know her during the year I lived there. I know that if I ever come back to Madrid and need a place to stay for awhile, I will be contacting her to stay in one of her beautiful properties.

This lovely little studio really became my home during the time I lived there, and I was sad to move out. It is small but is definitely spacious enough for an individual or maybe a couple. Included in the rent is having a cleaning lady come bi-monthly (every two weeks) was a welcome addition. Florínela, the cleaning lady is extremely friendly and welcoming as well and always left my room spotless and beautiful! I loved the exterior window/door that allowed the beautiful afternoon sun & fresh air to fill the apartment.

I seriously could not have asked for a better place to live in during my year in Madrid or a better property manager to work with.

Thank You Louisa for providing my with a beautiful, welcoming home away from! I hope I’ll be able to come back someday!

I stayed here for 6 weeks during May-July 2014. The apartment is located right on Malasaña area, the best area in Madrid. The apt is walking distance to great restaurants, cafés, shopping, and Gran Via. Both San Bernardo and Bilbao Metro stations are 5 mts walk from the apt which makes it very convenient. The apt is newly renovated with nice appliances and is very very spacious with two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms. It is on the first first floor and has a beautiful balcony facing Malasaña street. There are awesome little boutiques and stores along the street where you can buy really nice souvenirs. I have stayed in Arguelles and Plaza de España before and this is by far the best place in terms of actual space and LOCATION. It cant be beat. Luisa is great and she will make sure you have a great stay.

The comments left by a previous tenant made the decision to rent this apt far easier, and they certainly were right. On arrival, Luisa was generous with her time to show me around the area of Arguelles, she had beverages and snacks ready in the kitchen too, and the apt was in fantastic condition, clean, tidy, and was exactly what you see in the photos on the website. If there were things that needed to be fixed in the apt, Luisa was always quick to send someone there to sort the problem out, and without animosity. The guests that stayed with me over the course of the 5 months i lived in the apt, only had good things to say about the spare bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen appliances, including dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and hob were all in excellent condition. The living room, with air conditioning, was the perfect size and has sunlight all day. The larger bedroom with en-suite bathroom was larger than the pictures suggested, and once again everything worked perfectly. The internet worked everywhere in the apt. The TV is a high quality HD TV of a very reasonable screen size. The laundry room is a good size to dry everything after its wash in there. The building is in a great location, with a choice of super markets, department stores, restaurants and bars within 2-4 minute walks, and if you are willing to walk 15 minutes, there are parks, and anything else you may need in your time in Madrid. There is absolutely no noise that can be heard in the apt. Sleep was never interrupted. All in all, the apartment was in perfect condition, with sunlight all day. The photos do the apt justice. Luisa is also a fantastic landlady. I would happily rent any other apt knowing that Luisa was the person I was renting from. Very honest in terms of rent payments etc, and very understanding in terms of fixing, etc. I couldn’t have been happier with the time I had in Madrid, and the apt. and Luisa were a large part of that. Thank you again!!!

Great place, we arrived at this apt easily with the directions from Luisa at the begining of July. The metro is just around the corner which made it easy for us to do day trips to Toledo & Sogovia Luisa met us at the apt for ck in. the elevator was a big help as I was having knee issues. Luisa is a very nice lady she walked us around the neighborhood to familiarize us to the area and showed us the best place to get groceries, and walked us around showing us the area and even took us to her place to give us maps of the area as well as show us the area from her beautiful view of Madrid. She really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I feel like i have a new friend. The pictures of the apt do not do it justice. It is a larger place than it looks. Everything in the apt is brand new and newly remodeled all new appliances, wood floors, bathroom fixtures, all furniture and furnishings. Luisa even left us some cookies and teas and coffee for our arrival, such a nice touch. Kitchen is fully stocked so you can cook meals in if you like. There is a washer and it is in its own laundry room. which is good so you don’t have to bring a lot of clothes and a hanging rack to dry them. No need to bring a hairdryer, she has it.There Is wifi that was a great help to us as we still had to do some work for the office early mornings or late nights. The bedrooms are spacious too and have alot of closet space. We had a couple issues since everything was new and never used before but Luisa was a great landlord and had the issues fixed the day we reported them! I would 100\% recommend this place and Luisa. She even helped our brother in law, when she found out he was staying longer, she let him rent her other studio apt. Luisa also sent us information thru email/airbnb while we were there, letting us know of things to do and events going on while we were there. The apt is well located so you can walk to several tourist attractions, monuments and parks. There are several restaurants, bakeries, a pizza place and pharmacy just outside the door of the apt. I hope you get a chance to rent this place you will not be disappointed. But please take care of her place as you can see when you are there that Luisa really worked hard on the remodel and decorations to make you feel welcome.

  • From Judy (18-04-2014) on Estudio Paseo del Pintor Rosales Apartament

The view, the location and the studio are all beautiful–stylish. The studio is equipped with everything from plates to a washing machine and everything works perfectlyincluding a strong wifi. This stay is the second time I’ve stayed with Luisa, and it was as wonderful as the first time i stayed in a nearby apartment. Upon arrival, I found refreshments, fresh fruit and cookies…so sweet. Literally next door, there’s a cafe to grab a cafe con leche in the morning or beer in the afternoon on the outdoor tables. Restaurants are countless and I never have a need for a vehicle because of the metro stops nearby, plentiful cabs and the ease of walking all over Madrid from this location. Parque Oeste, the park in front of the building, is an incredible park with tons of monuments, running trails, Templo Debod, the Teleferico, a gorgeous rosé garden and more. In the summer, there is an open air opera performed at the Templo..it is really an incredible location and great neighborhood. You will not find better accommodations or hospitality than Luisa’s.

Luisa is an amazing host! I recently stayed in the apartment for nine days while my boyfriend visited me in Madrid and the studio was beautiful and clean. It’s in a great location (the studio overlooks Parque de Oeste and has a view of the city) and it’s close to cafés, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Luisa had provided everything we needed and was always available (even when my phone called her from my purse at 1:30 in the morning!). The apartment is perfect for a short or long stay for one or two people!
